It All Started With A Dream
Our founder, Saruul, first discovered French macarons when her sister brought her a box from San Francisco — and instantly fell in love. The delicate texture, vibrant colors, and perfect balance of crisp shell and soft center captured her heart.
What began as curiosity soon became a passion. Determined to master the art of these elegant confections, she spent countless hours in her kitchen — testing hundreds of batches in search of the elusive “perfect” macaron. In 2018, she traveled to Paris, the home of the macaron, to learn authentic techniques directly from French pastry chefs.
When she returned home to Utah, she began developing her own signature style — one that honors classic French craftsmanship while adding her own thoughtful twist: less sugar, more flavor. As someone who is pre-diabetic, she wanted every macaron to be not only beautiful and delicious but also lighter and more balanced, allowing every flavor to shine.
Today, Munchy Macarons is built on that philosophy — that a perfect macaron should be indulgent yet refined, bursting with flavor but never overly sweet. Each creation is crafted with care, combining artistry, precision, and a deep love for flavor.
